Labor of love

Since Hobbycraft discontinued  their home delivery for large canvas, 100 cm by 100 cm I had to collect them from the store. It wasn't easy journey  from Putney to North Greenwich having to use 2 trains and a bus. The challenging part was going through the Waterloo station where I had some looks, but a sacrifice had to be made for my "Labour of love"  :-)

Rustic lane

At the end of the year of 2017 I went to Lisbon, Portugal, then took a train to Cascais a coastal resort town by train outside of the capital city. Walking through the narrow streets of the old town with its own charm I captured this beautiful photo. The image is listed under my Photography page where you can find details if you wish to purchase.

Free to fly.....

I was lucky to capture this picture with my I Phone on the promenade of Kingston, UK. In my eyes  it is a beautiful image with so much imagination....

Free to fly somehow I relate to myself, having a feeling at my  age I am free to do anything I wish for: creating art, travelling, etc. Life is beautiful, is a blessing and I appreciate it moments.

Two quid

Two Quid.

This my first collage created with  street posters. There is a reason for this title. Dressed in my scruffy outfit with a hoodie and without  makeup. I was on my first poster hunt mission, on the dark streets of London. I was in my glory with my successful  hunt. While waiting for my bus to go home I was squishing all pieces in my canvas bag and guy was passing by and stopped in front of me. When I saw his feet I froze thinking I was in deep trouble. The guy gave £2.00 saying: " have a cup of coffee" thinking I must be a strange, homeless woman. I was relieved about my fear and all I said was :"god bless you sir". It was a funny situation, but it wouldn't be my last encounter.
